Preparations for ‘Latitudes’ Exhibition – Jean McKenna

We had a great meeting at Airfield on Sunday discussing work and where pieces might be located for the exhibition.  Here is a photograph of some work by Jean McKenna.

Jean is interested in the sense of history and continuity at Airfield. The hallway echoes with the history of the Overend family, busy with their daily lives. Today the house is alive with visitors passing through the same hall door, enjoying Airfield. The image of continuous human flow through time and space has inspired her work in this exhibition.  This piece takes its inspiration from the stained glass window at either side of the front entrance of Airfield House.
